We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for planning and executing procurement strategies for a given sub-commodity together with the Global Commodity Manager, Regional BU managers, and Commodity Buyers to maximize savings opportunities and optimize best global practices.

About this position

Cooperation with global commodity buyer, BU Buyers and SCM plant team
Rollout Global commodity strategies
Participate in the creation of and control of strategies for commodities in the plants
Responsible for coordination of price negotiations for regional managed commodities and actively participates in negotiations with key suppliers together with the team
Escalation process for supplier problems
Initiate consignment and Procurement Master agreements for suppliers
Supports the commodity buyer and Director in budget preparations
Support the SCM team with SAP training in the procurement processes
Audit internal SCM processes and support external supplier audits
Identify strengths and weaknesses within the business unit region in line with Global Commodity Manager and other business unit teams

Requirements

minimum 5 years of industrial purchasing experience managing project
knowledge of relevant topics and legislation
PC skills including knowledge of SAP R3
familiarity with automotive tools, methods, and Lean Production
fluent in English and/or German
active driving license
positive, creative, analytical thinker with a can-do attitude
