About this position

  • Handling of process automation and optimization projects with focus on APC (Advanced Process Control)
  • Development of new and maintenance of existing model-based controllers
  • Development and maintenance of soft sensors based on simple regression equations or complex AI algorithms in cooperation with data scientists
  • Extraction and processing of structured, mainly numerical data sets (time series, SQL)
  • Collaboration in and management of projects
  • Execution of feasibility studies

Requirements

  • Young professional or with professional experience
  • Completed studies (Master or Ph.D.) in one of the following or similar branches:
  • Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science and Engineering, Cybernetics, Process Control Engineering, Automation Engineering or Applied Informatics
  • Very good knowledge and experience with system modeling or Operations Research (preferably process engineering systems)
  • Knowledge of classical control engineering; experience in model-based control (tools from Aspentech, AVEVA or Yokogawa/Shell) is an advantage
  • Affinity for numbers, mathematical problem solving, data analysis and algorithms
  • Above average IT and programming skills (Python, JSON, SQL)
  • Independent and team-oriented way of working
  • Good communication and integration skills
  • Very good written and spoken English; German language skills advantageous but not required
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Burghausen or other sides (e.g. Nünchritz).
  • The initial training will take place over a period of two months at the Burghausen site, after that, the place of work is Pilsen (CZ).
